Polaris Alpha, a Parsons company is seeking a full time software engineer to provide development and test support for DoD systems. The ideal candidate will have a broad set of technical and domain skills. Duties include:
• Implement software compliant with requirements and integrate with existing software and systems.
• Defining, documenting, analyzing, performing and interpreting developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components.
• Investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
• Participating in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.
National Agency Background Investigation required

• 2-5 years designing, developing, and testing software and/or web applications.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or Computer/Electronic Engineering disciplines from an accredited educational institution.
• Proficiency with multiple tools for testing software based-systems.
• Experience with multiple programming languages: Java is required. Javascript, JSP and other web technologies are a plus.
• Experience with multiple operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and Windows Server.
• Experience with environment, configuration management, and DevOps tools, including: Eclipse, GIT, JIRA, Maven, Confluence, or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
• Willing to travel.
• Ability to work individually and with a team.
