The Fourth Dimension Engineering team of Polaris Alpha provides complete electronic product design and development services. Our engineering design capabilities span multiple engineering disciplines and employ a flexible, mission-centric product development process. We consistently succeed on the most challenging and time-critical problems.
The Computer Scientist shall have an expertise and knowledge and be able to apply this knowledge in the design, development, test and documentation of software code. The Computer Scientist shall apply sound planning, analysis and programming and coding practices.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can operate in a less structured, free thinking environment, but who can also contribute to and support overall team success.

Note: The following are intended to describe the set of experience required for several individuals supporting this TTO; no assumption is made that any individual team member will possess all of these.
Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design and agile software development methods.
Experience with XML, Java, C, C++, Python, and web-based standards and technologies.
Experience with developing, modifying, maintaining and administrating relational databases. (Experience using Oracle, and specifically Oracle 12 is preferred.)
Experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x-7.x, Fedora, and CentOS 6.x and later are preferred.)
Experience with Windows Server operating Systems (Windows 2008 and later preferred).
Experience with virtual machines (e.g. VMware) and Docker software containers.
Experience with the Atlassian suite of software development and management products (e.g.Confluence, Jira) and Apache's Subversion control system.
Experience with automated software testing tools such as Test Director and Quality Center.

Experience with the Microsoft Office productivity suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
