Seeking a candidate who will apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise to analyze system concepts, system design and interoperability, providing input to, and analysis of, system architectures for current and future weapons systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as exceptional attention to detail. Ability to initiate, work, and coordinate multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Identifies risks and develops mitigation.
The role requires following a rigorous model-based system engineering process to transform operational requirements into specifications, architectures, and configuration baselines.
Manage requirements and communicate system architectures by utilizing engineering and architecture tools such as MagicDraw, Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Enterprise Architect, and Visio.
Develop and maintain models utilizing modeling languages such as Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Create Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) products required to effectively implement complex hardware and software systems.
Ensure requirements traceability and testability.
Support creation of program documents such as Technology Readiness Level (TRL) documentation, Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Program Baselines, Engineering Risk Assessments, and Technical Manuals.
Experience translating operational requirements into performance specifications for Army systems.
Knowledge of the integration, validation and verification of complex weapons systems.
