  • Job Description

    Polaris Alpha (EOIR Technologies) is seeking a Software Engineer to participate in on-going radar research and development (R&D) efforts at one of the Army’s R&D Centers of Excellence.

    Our candidate will support the research, design, test, and development of visual interfaces, model & simulations systems, algorithms development and system integration of multiple software products into a larger system. Perform research and development to produce new designs and solutions for use in current and future products. Provide analytical support of image processing system performance. Our candidate will design and create complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict system timing, resource, and interface restraints. Our candidate will collaborate with system engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on needed software capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline
    • 5-10 years’ in the design, development, and implementation of software systems such as application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software
    • 5+ years’ in the design, development, and implementation of signal processing algorithms in C/C++
    • Specialized experience as a software engineer or systems integrator performing systems and/or software engineering analysis, design, development and integration of multiple architectures
    • Experience with digital signal processing techniques including energy detection, channelization, phase coherency, Doppler compensation, and demodulation
    • Experience developing in C/C++, Java, Python, HTML, XML, SQL, JavaScript
    • Experience in the design, develop, and test of software algorithms, applications and components
    • Experience with developing and implementing custom software algorithms and applications in combination with COTS and GOTS software applications
    • Experience with coding interface messaging software components
    • Excellent communications, problem-solving and coordination skills
    • This position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense TS/SCI level security clearance, which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.
