    Polaris Alpha is looking for a customer-focused team player to join the team working on-site in a mission-oriented environment. The candidate must be a self-starter, possess good communication skills, and willing to interface with multiple teams throughout the design process.
    We are currently seeking a Digital Design Engineer with emphasis on ASIC/FPGA design and verification using SystemVerilog, Verilog or VHDL. The design engineer will conceptualize, document, design, code, verify and lab-debug ASIC, FPGA and embedded firmware-based designs. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, motivated, customer oriented, willing to learn new technologies.

    Required Skills

    • 3-5 years of related experience
    • Specification generation
    • RTL development
    • RTL simulation
    • Functional self-checking testbench generation
    • Lab debug experience
    • Research experience
    • B.S. degree in Engineering or related field
    • Government Security Clearance w Poly required

    Desired Skills

    • Encryption techniques
    • Tamper resistant design techniques
    • FPGA design development
    • Embedded firmware development
    • Scripting languages (Python, TCL, etc.)
    • Side Channel Analysis techniques

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
    Normal office setting, therefore the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking. Use of hands to operate computer equipment. Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.
