    Responsible for the development and/or modification of software products as part of an agile team leveraging the principles of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Uses expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software. Reviews and evaluates systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety. Confirms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation. Reports to the Topic Builder System Architect and works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative. Limited travel may be required.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field with up to 4 years experience. Relevant domain experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
    • Experience with Java Frameworks (i.e., Spring) or Modern JavaScript frameworks
    • Experience with Web tooling

    Desired Skills

    • Experience with Bootstrap
    • Experience with styling (i.e., CSS, SASS or LESS, and similar technologies)
    • Experience with Java backend development
    • Experience with Database Technologies
    • Experience with Jenkins or similar build systems
    • Experience with Git repositories
    • Experience with Maven
    • Experience with Docker
    • Experience with JIRA or similar issue tracking systems

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
    Normal office setting, therefore the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking. Use of hands to operate computer equipment. Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.
