    We are seeking a Radar Engineer to be a member of our our team performing on-going radar research and development (R&D) efforts at one of the Army’s premier R&D Centers of Excellence at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland.

    You will collaborate with our customer and team to influence the next generation of radar systems, signal data processing technologies, radar open architecture concepts. Our team will support the analysis, research, development, test and evaluation of new technologies for current and future Army radar systems, including Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR,) and Moving Target Indicator (MTI), Foliage Penetration (FOPEN), and Force Protection (Counterfire Target Acquisition) radar systems.

    You must possess relevant experience in radar systems and technologies in the following areas:

    1) Systems engineering
    2) Laboratory and field testing
    3) Concept evaluation
    4) Technology evaluation
    5) Measures of operational effectiveness
    6) Knowledge of both low and high frequency radar systems
    7) Advisement and engineering technical support
    8) Training and mentoring of junior engineers and
    9) Performance of trade studies

    Required Skills

    • BS (MS preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or similar field
    • 10+ years’ experience in radar system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis
    • 10+ years’ of systems engineering experience
    • 10+ years’ of experience in the development of test plans, procedures and schedules, conducting tests, and generating reports detailing laboratory and field tests/demonstrations
    • Experience in writing test procedures and data analysis, including customer acceptance testing in radar systems.
    • Experience in using MATLAB
    • Experience in reviewing engineering design documentation (as part of the configuration control and design process) and interface control documents
    • Experience in the preparation of technical reports, technical briefings, technical drawings, performance work statements, system developmental schedules, performance specifications, and requirements documentation, and in presenting results to senior management

    • This position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense TS/SCI level security clearance, which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
    Normal office setting, therefore the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking. Use of hands to operate computer equipment. Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.
