You will have the opportunity to participate in the design and development of a real-world, cutting edge Space Situational Awareness applications that are changing how the Space community is doing business. The primary focus will be the implementation of interactive web applications focused on data analysis and visualization.

Our team is looking for a go getter with test automation experience who can help us ensure that we continue to develop high quality capabilities and rapidly deliver them to the warfighter.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Developing software, automated test suites, and reporting tools
• Working with the customer to capture use cases and requirements
• Developing test plans and procedures to ensure software meets agreed upon expectations
• Ensuring test plans and procedures provide adequate test coverage for unit tests, automated tests, and functional tests
• Augmenting existing software to add touch points for automated tests
• Managing and executing automated/manual test suites using SoapUI
• Coordinating with engineers to identify issues
• Assisting in drafting associated test artifacts and supporting government test events

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering and/or product testing. Eight (8) years of additional experience, applicable training and/or certifications may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.
• Understanding of the different types and categories of software testing
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
• Experience with Java development
• Experience with writing unit tests (e.g. JUnit)
• Experience with developing web applications
• Experience with JavaScript
• Experience with styling (CSS, SASS, or LESS and similar technologies)
• Ability to apply a variety of tools and techniques to verify complex business processes via manual, automated, and semi-automated test cases
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic that works well with others and who can thrive in a fast-paced environment employing Agile methodologies
• This position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense security clearance which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.

• Experience and familiarization with the space situational awareness domain
• Experience automating regression tests
• Experience with software requirements analysis
• Experience with human factors and software usability
• Experience with Soap and REST web services
• Experience with XML to include WSDL, XSD, and XPath/XQuery
• Experience with JSON
• Experience with SQL commands and queries
• Experience writing SoapUI plugins/extensions
• Advanced knowledge of SoapUI (context expansions, command line execution, load testing, ‘run test case’ steps, etc.)
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Groovy, Python, DOS, PowerShell, BASH)
• Experience with Linux
• Security+ Certification


Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Normal office setting, therefore the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking. Use of hands to operate computer equipment. Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.
