We are seeking a Data Analyst with an Engineering background to support with a desire to work on radar systems, to support on-going research and development (R&D) efforts at one of the US Army’s R&D Centers of Excellence at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. This position provides engineering support for analyzing, designing, developing, integrating and testing radar open architectures. The Data Analyst will work with a team of experts performing test data capture, performance testing, and data analysis from data collected during performance testing of Army radars. The Data Analyst supports research, development, and testing of new technologies for current and future Army radar systems.

Required Skills

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or similar field
• A desire to gain experience in radar system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis
• 2-4 years’ experience integrating multiple system and software architectures
• Experience performing data management and manipulation, algorithm development and optimizing analysis processes
• Experience in the development of test plans, test procedures, schedules, and reports for laboratory and field tests/demonstrations
• Knowledge of statistical formulas and techniques
• Ability to analyze large amount of data for trends and anomalies
• Understanding of radar architecture and radio frequency (RF) signal processing
• Skills in creating comprehensive test reports, white papers and presentations containing complex information
• Experience developing, maintaining and using data analytical tools
• Experience programming with C/C++, SQL and MATLAB
• Ability to improve and develop MATLAB software
• Experience using existing MATLAB analysis tools to generate performance reports, identify system anomalies, and determine the root cause for errors

This position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense Secret or TS/SCI level security clearance, which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.
