In this position, you will work as a member of the Corporate Infrastructure Team based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. You will also collaborate with members of the infrastructure team in other U.S. based locations and engage with engineering teams to stand up new virtual environments and support existing ones. Experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, vSphere, ESXi, vCenter and all VMWare best practices are a must. Experience with Enterprise Cloud Management and Virtual Systems administration tools such as vRealize automation, vCenter Orchestrator and VMWare NSX Network virtualization and security platform is highly desired.

The ideal candidate must be a team player and be able to build and maintain constructive working relationships characterized by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect. The candidate must also be accountable and take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work. The ideal candidate has excellent project management skills and can manage own time and priorities to efficiently and effectively achieve goals, identify opportunities for process or quality improvements. Candidate must also have strong troubleshooting and communication skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills

Virtualization certification (i.e. VMware Certified Associate – Datacenter Virtualization or Digital Business Transformation).
Manage, configure, and install VMware vSphere environment: vCenter, ESXi, virtual machines, VMware snapshot, VMFS datastore creation and maintenance.
Ensure ongoing operation of systems through troubleshooting, scheduling, and monitoring jobs and technology-related business processes, and end user support as needed.
Health-performance-optimization monitoring of virtualized architecture.
Evaluate, test, and apply version updates to vCenter, vRO, vRA, vRLI, and ESXi hosts and vulnerability patches as needed.
Develop and implement test plans to verify installation, upgrades or repairs including back-out plan.
Update and patch VMware infrastructure components within the enterprise.
Team Player with excellent communications skills.
US Citizenship required based on government customer requirements.
