Under minimal direction, develop, code, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software. Work with technical staff to understand and resolve software problems, resolve customer complaints with software and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements. May be involved in the development of software user manuals and demonstrate software. Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.
Experience in the area of software development/software engineering
Experience implementing engineering criteria and developing software and tools to operate in real-world environments
Experience preparing technical documents, which include software test plans/reports
Experience in analytical evaluation of software performance in realistic operational environments and scenarios and in conducting software testing at multiple levels (unit, integration, system), performing analyses to predict and quantify software constraints, and defining/designing corrective measures
National Agency Background Investigation required. This position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.
