Job Description

You Will:
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in qualitative and quantitative research design and methods
- Provide social, cultural, economic, political, and religious expertise to US military customers
- Conduct operationally relevant research and analysis; develop and maintain a sociocultural knowledge base in order to enhance decision-making, and operational effectiveness
- Provide deep analysis and produce atmospheric products using professionally accepted operations research techniques of subjects related to population sentiment
- Prepare and provide oral and written briefs on deep analysis regarding target subjects to senior staff
- Possess ability to deploy for 6 months at a time in an austere environment

Required Skills

- PhD with 4 years or Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience in cognitive science (e.g. anthropology, sociology, psychology, etc.), system analysis, operations research techniques and/or application-specific operations. Eight (8) years of additional experience, applicable training and/or certifications may be substituted for the PhD Degree.
- Experience with quantitate programs such as SPSS, SAS, or scripting languages like R or Python.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Subject matter expert in atmospherics, sociocultural data, data cleaning, coding and manipulation, data exploration, visualization, qualitative and quantitative analytics
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Normal office setting, therefore the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking. Use of hands to operate computer equipment. Frequent near vision uses for reading and computer use.
