We are seeking a Senior Radar subject matter expert (SME) to participate in on-going radar research and development (R&D) efforts at one of the Army’s R&D Centers of Excellence, CERDEC I2WD, at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland.
As a member of the EOIR team, the Senior Radar SME will have opportunities to influence the next generation of radar systems and signal / data processing technologies applied to Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), (Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR,) and Moving Target Indicator (MTI), and Force Protection (Counterfire Target Acquisition (CTA)) radar systems. The SME must be a Senior Engineer with relevant experience in radar systems, technologies, and signal and data processing. The SME shall provide technical expertise, mentoring and advice to government and contractor engineers in the following:
1) systems engineering
2) laboratory and field testing
3) concept evaluation
4) technology evaluation
5) measures of operational effectiveness
6) knowledge of both low and high frequency radar systems
7) advisement and engineering technical support
8) training and mentoring of junior engineers
9) perform trade studies
