Job Description

EOIR is looking for a Systems Engineer who is capable of working independently to design, architect and define hardware and software systems and their requirements for Army surveillance systems. Work with hardware and software engineers to understand their application, and interface requirements to document integration efforts within current and external systems. Develop system specifications, technical and logistical requirements for the target systems. Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution of design and development tasks.



Desired skills include:
o PDR/CDR requirements planning

o Understanding of Army Acquisition process to include EMD, MS-B, MS-C

o Experience with Defense Acquisition Guidebook (DAG) policies and procedures

o Experience with the interpretation and development of systems documentation to include:

§ Capability Development Document (CDD)

§ Performance Specification (P-SPEC)

§ SRR/SFR artifacts generation w/RFA

§ Technology Readiness Assessments (TRA)

§ DoDAF Architectural Artifacts generation

§ Systems Engineering Plan (SEP)

§ System Design Description (SDD)

§ Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)

§ Systems Evaluation Plan (SEP)

§ Capability Production Documents (CPD)

§ Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)

o Experience using IBM Rational DOORS preferred but not required

o Configuration Management experience

o Knowledge of various military and IEEE standards and their implementation

Required Skills

Degree and Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Systems Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required and 4 years functional experience.

Four additional years of applicable experience may be substituted for the degree.

Experience with Army sensor systems applications is highly preferred but not required. Must have strong communication skills and work well in a team.

Some travel with attendance at various meetings required.

This position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.
